ABOUT ME | CHRISTY OH

THIS IS WHO I AM.

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California, majoring in Communication and minoring in Marketing and Digital Studies. For the first semester of my freshman year, I studied abroad in London, England.

Outside of being a student, I am the Marketing Coordinator for Doux Lashes, Marketing Director for USC Special Events Committee, and a freelance portrait photographer, working to refine my skills and explore new areas of digital media and different ways of storytelling.

THIS GENERATION MARKS THE START OF AN ERA WHERE ART AND COMMUNICATION THROUGH DIGITAL MEDIA CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS.

Ever since my dad gifted me my first camera when I was seven years old, I've been hooked on capturing life's moments through a lens.

I discovered Adobe Photoshop when I was eleven, starting out making bobble-head edits of photos of me and my friends. That quirky interest soon turned into editing my own photos and exploring graphic design.

When I was fourteen, I started sharing my work through Tumblr and learned how to manage my own social media following of over 50,000 people from all over the world. As an influencer, I partnered with other influencers and businesses including Daniel Wellington and Shein.com, using my blogging platform to share their products and stories.

Since then, I've taught myself how to use Adobe Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign, and Premiere Pro, and have also expanded my focus to other social media platforms. I utilized my passion for digital media to get involved during high school by contributing my skills to Key Club International, my high school’s student publication, and my youth group.

BEING ABLE TO USE MY PASSION AND TALENTS IN DIGITAL MEDIA TO HELP OTHERS CAPTURE AND SHARE THEIR IDEAS HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT ELSE IS IN STORE.
